Historical Significance

Best time to visit Kashmir 

To have the best experience of Kashmir, one should visit during the months of March to August.

Summer (March to May): Summer is the best season to visit Kashmir due to its moderate climate which is ideal for sightseeing and nature walks. The temperature ranges from 15 to 30 degrees Celsius. The mornings are beautiful with cool air and a refreshing aura. You can travel to various attractions of Kashmir in summer such as the famous Mughal Gardens, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Yusmarg. How to reach Kashmir valley

Kashmir by road:  Kashmir is well connected to rest of the India through National Highway 1A. The state road transport corporation buses connect Kashmir to neighboring states of Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, and more.

Kashmir by air: Srinagar International Airport is the main airway to reach Kashmir. It operates flights from various airlines that are connected to Delhi, Mumbai, goa, Bangalore, Jammu, and Leh. After arriving at Srinagar airport, tourists can hire a cab to travel to various cities and towns in Kashmir.

Kashmir by rail: Jammu Tawi located in the state’s winter capital is the nearest and busiest rail route to Kashmir valley. After reaching the railway station, you can book a cab to reach different places in Kashmir.
